Do you enjoy listening to Blinkist in your car? With this update, we've changed the audio settings to get rid of unnecessary interruptions. As of now, when your navigation system starts to give you directions, the book-in-blinks you're listening to will pause. It will resume playing once the directions are finished. This means that no big idea will pass you by (no matter how long and winding the road). Beep beep 'n' beep beep, yeah!
Did you know that key changes can have big effects? In this release we made a few key changes which will have a big impact on your reading and listening experience. The main tabs in the home screen are now called Home, Explore, and Library. We've also relocated Search, Categories, and Curated Lists with recommendations from our curators to the Explore tab so you can discover even more. Noticing better book recommendations lately? That's thanks to our new-and-improved recommender system. We also fixed a bug (in) For You: books that are already in your library will now disappear and a new recommendation will appear in its place

With this release, these recommended related titles are now linked. This means that once you finish one book-in-blink you can immediately start to read the next—so you can keep learning with zero fuss.
Transparency rules! Before this version, to cancel a Blinkist trial or subscription, you had to access the Google Play Store settings. Now, you can find a direct link to cancel your Blinkist trial or subscription in the settings of the Blinkist app itself. This means that if you choose to cancel ("Please don't!" -- Ed.), you can do so with one click. Sprichst du Deutsch? If the answer is ja, then get excited. With this update, a German version of the daily pick is now available in the app. Simply change the language to German in the app settings to check out this new German feature and start reading auf Deutsch. Ja wohl!
We caught a bug in the audio player and quickly patched it up. Install this version if your audio player has been crashing and everything should be back to normal!

Once again we've focused on squashing as many bugs as possible - fixing issues with audio downloads, a bug that caused the audioplayer to suddenly start playing on its own and other improvements here & there. Stay tuned for new things to come soon!
With this release we have completely rebuilt how downloading audio works, so you should no longer see issues with failed downloads or experience endlessly downloading audio. Thanks for your patience and happy listening!
This release brings bug fixes and serious audio improvements. We’ve completely rebuilt the functionality of the audio player, which means no more audio stalling between blinks, and streaming should now be a dream. We also repaired bluetooth connection issues. We hope you can now start into the new year with a smoother user experience!
